FID Media at BiblioCon 2026: Copyright Advisory Services and Scholarly Exchange

Once again this year, FID Media will be represented at BiblioCon. We welcome this valuable opportunity to discuss current topics in librarianship, gather feedback from the research community, and gain new impulses for our work. This year, we will participate in the following two sessions and look forward to engaging in exchange.

New Approaches to Copyright Advisory Services

On Tuesday, 19 May 2026, Stefan Cravcisin will present the Copyright Service at FID Media in the auditorium (with live streaming) from 14:00 to 14:30. Under the title New Approaches to Copyright Advisory Services: The FID Media Copyright Service and Its Development at the University of Marburg, the session will illustrate how the service supports researchers in navigating legal questions related to copyrighted materials, and will outline the potential for expanding the service into a comprehensive offering for all university members.

The presentation is part of the session Subject-Specific Information – Strategies and Services.

Joint subject-specific session with SocioHub and Pollux

On Thursday, 21 May 2026, FID Media, the Specialised Information Service for Political Science (Pollux), and the Specialised Information Service for Sociology (SocioHub) invite participants to a joint subject session from 9:00 to 10:30 in Room XIV / 14. The session will focus on open exchange between the disciplinary communities and the specialised information services. Following brief updates on current developments within the three services, there will be ample opportunity for questions, discussion, and contributions from participants. The aim is to reflect jointly on current needs, perspectives, and challenges and to further strengthen the dialogue between the communities and the specialised information services.
