FID Media now offers the daily newspaper taz. in its database section, further expanding its collection of German daily newspapers. Access is provided via the WISO portal, the online database for academic studies and research.

Which editions are included?

You have access to the current daily edition and to all issues published since 30 May 1988. In addition, you can access the weekly edition of taz., which is published every Saturday.

How does access via FID Media work?

First, log in to the FID portal. This will identify you as an FID user and allow you to use all functions enabled for your account. Via the FID Media databases page, you will find an overview of all licensed content. Under ‘Access to German-language press archives’, you can select taz. You will then be redirected to the WISO database, where you can view and download the issues. Access is free of charge to registered FID Media users who conduct research or teach in the field.

WISO provides a range of comprehensive search tools: In taz., you can search specifically for individual articles or keywords and filter the results by people, places or time periods. You can also use the AI ​​button to refine your search, locate specific articles or combine information from multiple articles.
