The FID Media Bites offer concise, practice-oriented insights for communication and media studies. Each session focuses on a specific topic from the areas of scholarly publishing, copyright, open science, tools, or research data, with particular attention to the disciplinary context of communication and media studies.
The FID Media Bites take place every Friday during the lecture period from 11:00 to 12:00 via Zoom. The session begins with a thematic input, followed by a dedicated segment for discussion and questions.

In the summer semester, the FID Media Bites address topics such as predatory publishing, digital access options, and current (AI-based) applications for and in archival collections, as well as manual and AI-assisted annotation. The content is based on topic suggestions submitted by participants in the winter semester.
The FID Media Bites are aimed at researchers at all career stages, staff working in research infrastructure institutions in the relevant subject areas, students, and all other interested parties. The series is organised and moderated by the coordination team of FID Media.
The "FID Media Bites" will take place in this Zoom room. No registration is required.
