FID Media is happy to assist you in publishing your work openly and sustainably. Our offerings include a range of services covering the entire publication process—from initial publication and secondary publication to funding models and the digitization of collections
Through the FID Media repository, we offer you a platform where you can publish your publications and research data in the field of communication and media studies in open access. We ensure professional citation and discoverability. We also guarantee long-term archiving. This service is available to all interested authors in the KMW community.
FID Media supports researchers in the open-access republication and long-term preservation of their publications.
The service includes reviewing copyright conditions and assisting with the acquisition of suitable full-text versions. The goal is to make previously published individual publications freely accessible as easily and legally securely as possible.
A submission form with an upload function is available for this purpose. Alternatively, lists of publications can be submitted, which will be reviewed and prepared for potential secondary publication.
To promote Diamond Open Access, FID Media organizes consortium-based funding models (pledges). These models provide sustainable support for selected publication platforms within the academic community and help ensure that journals remain freely and permanently accessible to everyone, at no cost to authors.
FID Media supports the digitization and provision of research-relevant sources and specialized literature in the fields of communication and media studies. The goal is to systematically identify materials that have previously been difficult to access and make them available for scholarly use.
All digitized collections are made available through FID Media on a long-term basis and remain permanently accessible to researchers.
